About the project
This website was created for a Tacoma-based mattress and futon retailer. The website is designed to accept online payments, calculate shipping costs, and local tax rate. It was also important to highlight that the futons are made locally in the US.
E-commerce solution
Just as the other online shops in this portfolio, Planet Futon & Mattress is using CMS WordPress and Woocommerce plugin. E-commerce functionality includes flexible shipping rates, local tax calculation using TaxCloud API, “reserve your item” option, and local pick-up option. Almost all items come in various sizes, and there’s a separate size guide page as well.
Product pages
Many items in the shop come at a discounted price, so it was important to highlight those low prices. Product pages also feature related products such as futon covers or mattress covers.
